Tomorrow I am a bridesmaid in one of my best friends weddings. We traveled 9 hours by car and it's looking like tornado weather for her outdoor wedding! I hope it holds off. The thought is tornados makes me so anxious!
When I asked her what she thought about my nails she said "have at it!" Um, I have 100s of colors, that's not helpful! She actually offered me an appointment for a mani/pedi but I only took her up on the pedi part, I don't want ANYONE touching my nails!
What I ended up with is Sally Hansen Conplete Salon Manicure in Downtown Rubies with a ring finger accent of Color Club Risque topped with Revlon Stunning. This is to mimic the diamonds we are both sporting on this finger now! In retrospect I would've put down a coat of red cream polish before the Downtown Rubies because it took four coats to get it opaque. I also left my acetone and clean up brush at home so please excuse my messy application. This is as neat as it gets for me!

Nabi Magnetic Red/Black
I saw this on Scrangie and had to have it. Her bottles have names but for the life of me I cannot find names on mine. This is a cool red that when magnetized gets black stripes. It's vampy, it's dark and it's cool. I have heard other lacquerheads say these magnets suck but I have no experience with any other magnets, sooooo. I had the China Glaze magnet in my hand at Ulta a couple weeks ago but ended up grabbing a NOPI instead, one of the Kim Kardashian ones to be exact. Oh, and I promise to get my ruffian up as soon as I do it (I'm scared!)
Also, the polish color for my wedding has been decided. Now I'm trying to decide whether to do a glitter accent nail or maybe a holo glitter gradient on top of it. I've pinned most of my mani ideas but here is another one.
Anywho, here's your pics!

52 week challenge week 9: vintage mani
Apparently this manicure was a way to save nail polish back in the day. Two things I learned about my nails from this one: you can only see a tiny bit of the moon on my ring and pinky fingers and my nails are yellow! Painting sideways was a very strange experience too as I didn't use French tape guidelines, I just free-handed this shiz. I actually like this style but in the future I'll either make sure I've buffed the yellow out of my nails or use a neutral base coat. This is two coats of Essie After Sex (which I bought solely for the name)
